I’ve been thinking that if this situation continues a food shortage may be on the way. The current economic crisis is a government-ordered depression. It may not be the government’s fault that there is an epidemic, and it may be that there is a legitimate or necessary purpose for the shutdown. But the kings, lords, and aristocrats still need to make sure the peasants and serfs get fed. So far, they’ve shown they only care about bailing out the feudal manors and king’s ministries.
The ideal response is a labor/rent/mortgage/debt/utility bill strike. And if that doesn’t work, and the food supply starts running out, it’s time for direct action.
