I grow less and less impressed with Sunic each time I higher him and simultaneously more and more amused. He hosts holocaust deniers on a regular basis on his show and recently lectured a gaggle of franco-belgians on jewish control of the american media and public discourse, while simultaneously claiming to “reject anti-semitism.” Bullshit…
Unfortunately this reheated anti-Semitic paranoia is still endemic among radical Rightists – even among the N-As, some really quite embarrassing rhetoric is infuriatingly common.
The way I see it, the Jewish diaspora has unquestionably had an immense impact on the history of Western civilization. Some liberals, in their ‘colour-blindness’, might play this down while mumbling about how ‘all people are one’, or something; Jewish chauvinists would probably emphasize the positives; the radical-Right emphasizes the negatives. All of these are choosing to see only what confirms their preconceived notions.
Having said all that, I think I must be anti-Semitic, because some of my best friends are Jewish.
Many of the intellectuals and/or radicals who have most influenced my own thinking have been Jewish: Gottfried, Rothbard, Chomsky, Szasz, Mises, Hayek, Bookchin, Dolgoff, Berkman, Goldman, Hoffman, Rubin, too many others to mention. But I’m extremely critical of what I’ve called “Judeo-Fascism” as well, which I use as an umbrella term for everything from the Neocons to the ADL to the Israeli government.
It’s not a matter of either/or. Lenin and Stalin were Russians (bad) and so were Bakunin and Kropotkin (good). Troy Southgate is English (good) and so is Tony Blair (bad). A friend of mine is Cambodian (good) and so was Pol Pot (bad). It’s as simple as that.
Or the ENR is french (good) and so are the jacobins (bad.) Interestingly enough, Lenin was actually of mostly Germanic and slightly Mongol extraction and Stalin was Georgian, but neither were ethnic Russians.
Gee golly jeepers guys, just found out racism is bad? We’ll get this movement off the ground in no time!

What is ‘bad’ – and this is not a new revelation for us – is the tunnel-vision which leads people to make stupid assumptions. The anti-racist left is as prone to this as the racist right (and, indeed, the anti-racist right).
