The continuous devaluation of the currency in Iran is not simply an economic crisis, but rather a sign of the collapse of a political-economic order that has eroded and destabilized social life in favor of the accumulation of power and rent. The devaluation of the currency has directly led to the organized transfer of poverty, insecurity, and instability to the lower and middle classes, turning everyday life into a battle for survival.

The market strike and its connection with the collective action of other social groups is a rational and necessary response to this situation. Marketers, workers, students, teachers, nurses, retirees and firefighters all come together in different ways, but at one common point: the deprivation of control over life, work and the future. Since this crisis is not only individual or union-related; it is also structural, the response to it cannot be scattered and separate.

The Anarchist Front believes that only through horizontal solidarity-cooperation, self-organization-self-management and decentralized action can we stand against this destructive cycle. Street protests and strikes are not riots, but an attempt to reclaim voice, human dignity and the right to collective self-determination, and a form of social resistance to the imposed order of the ruling rentier-mafia capitalist state that has no real power or response to solve the livelihood crisis.

We support the connection of struggles and the compassionate presence of all social groups, and we emphasize that the true power of society lies not in the state and its affiliated institutions, but in networks of cooperation, mutual trust, and collective action.
This path is the path of rebuilding “us” against an order that wants society fragmented and powerless.

Today is Monday, the 8th of January 1404, the 29th of December 2025, and the 8th of the month of Jedi in the year 1404.

Widespread strikes and protests began in Tehran in the early hours of the day, and then the strike turned into protests and demonstrations.

The demonstrations mainly took place in the central and eastern areas of Tehran.

The cities of Zanjan, Qazvin, Hamedan, Karaj, Marlik, Mallard, Fardis,
Zahedan, Isfahan, and Qeshm were and are the scene of protest demonstrations.

At night, students at Tehran University staged a sit-in and protest, shouting slogans such as “Women, Life, Freedom,” and “Students Die, Do Not Accept Humiliation.”

A call for strikes and protests has been issued across Iran for tomorrow.

Trump and Netanyahu threatened the Islamic Republic and the geography of Iran with a military attack.

Workers’ strikes and livelihood protests continue.

In Ekbatan and northeast Tehran, chants of “Death to the dictator” echoed.

The dollar became cheaper by seven thousand tomans.
