At least 193 people — including 96 children — have died of starvation in Gaza, and the UN warns that 320,000 children under five years old face life-threatening malnutrition.^1,2

Yet at this very moment, thousands of trucks filled with humanitarian aid are currently parked at Gaza border crossings, blocked by Israel.³

It’s absolutely horrific — and these atrocities would end tomorrow if the United States demanded it.

But instead, Congress is getting ready to pass a massive new military spending bill with hundreds of billions in additional military aid for Israel.⁴

Demand Progress Action has mobilized tens of thousands of people to demand that the U.S. stop funding the war on Gaza, and we’re ramping up the pressure to stop this huge new military aid package for Israel.

Worse yet, Human Rights Watch reports that nearly 1,400 Palestinians have been killed while seeking food, most shot by Israeli forces routinely opening fire on starving civilians.⁶

The American people now disapprove of Israel’s war in Gaza by a 2-to-1 margin.⁷

But with powerful pro-Israel groups like AIPAC lobbying hard to pass this new package of military aid for Israel — and threatening to spend millions of dollars against anyone who votes no — it will require a major grassroots mobilization effort to convince Congress to finally listen to their constituents.^8,9
