‘World’s largest investigative journalism organization’ secretly controlled by U.S. government – report | 3 Dec 2024 | The U.S. government secretly controls around half of the funding for the world’s largest investigative journalism network, the Organized Crime and Corruption Reporting Project (OCCRP), a joint investigation by Mediapart, Drop Site News, Il Fatto Quotidiano, and others has revealed. The probe also found that the U.S. exerts veto power over OCCRP’s leadership and editorial direction. Launched in 2008 and initially focused on exposing corruption and organized crime in the Balkans, the OCCRP now operates with a budget of 20 million eur-s and a team of 200 journalists worldwide, and works with over 70 media partners, including big names such as the New York Times, The Guardian, and Der Spiegel. It has grown into the world’s foremost international investigative journalism player, known for work such as The Panama Papers and the Pegasus Project. The investigation, led by Mediapart and published on Monday, reveals that Washington not only provides substantial financial support — 47 million from U.S. state sources since its inception — but has the power to control leadership appointments.
War Without End: U.S. Rushing $725 Million More in Lethal Weapons to Ukraine | 3 Dec 2024 | The Biden regime might be in its final days but that doesn’t mean the flow of lethal U.S. weaponry to Ukraine shows any sign of slowing. Far from it. That was confirmed Monday when an additional 725 million in military assistance, including counter-drone systems and munitions for its High Mobility Artillery Rocket System (HIMARS), was announced by the White House. AP reports it is unclear whether the munitions for the HIMARS are the coveted ATACMS — the Army Tactical Missile System — but Ukraine has been pressing for more of the longer-range missiles to strike additional targets inside Russia.
Ukraine’s Foreign Ministry Pushes to Join NATO While Ukrainian Politician Calls for Nuclear Weapons | 3 Dec 2024 | On Tuesday, the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry published a statement declaring that the country would not accept any alternatives to joining NATO, stating “security guarantees” are not enough. At the same time, Ukrainian member of parliament Aleksey Goncharenko argued that even joining NATO is not enough, stating that Ukraine should have nuclear weapons. “Having the bitter experience of the Budapest Memorandum behind us, we will not settle for any alternatives, surrogates, or substitutes for Ukraine’s full membership in NATO,” the statement said, according to the Kyiv Independent on Tuesday. Foreign ministers of NATO member states are meeting in Brussels, Belgium, December 3 and 4. Ukraine will also be in attendance. Ukraine hopes NATO will issue a membership invitation during the meeting. Reuters reported, however, that it is unlikely NATO membership will be granted. Russia has made it clear that one of their “red lines” is Ukraine joining NATO. Another one of Russia’s “red lines” is Ukraine being armed with nuclear weapons.
Iran says it’s ready to send troops to Syria –Tehran’s offer to Damascus comes amid a jihadist offensive against government forces | 3 Dec 2024 | Tehran would consider a full military deployment to aid Syria if the government in Damascus requests it, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi has said. The comments came during an interview that Araghchi gave to the Qatar-based outlet Al-Araby Al-Jadeed on his way back from Türkiye on Monday evening. “If the Syrian government asks Iran to send troops to Syria, we will consider the request,” Araghchi was quoted as saying. Tehran is preparing “a series of steps to calm the situation in Syria and find an opportunity to present an initiative for a permanent solution,” he added. Militants of al-Qaeda [al-CIAduh] affiliate Hayat Tahrir-al-Sham (HTS) and other Islamist groups launched a large-scale offensive from Idlib province towards Aleppo, Hama and Homs last week.
South Korea martial law order to be lifted after Cabinet meeting, president says | 3 Dec 2024 | South Korean President Yoon Suk Yeol said early Wednesday that he would soon lift the military rule he imposed overnight, after the parliament voted to reject his martial law declaration. Yoon said his government has withdrawn military personnel that had been deployed, and that he would formally lift martial law following a Cabinet meeting as “soon as members arrive.” Hours later, parliament voted to lift the declaration, with National Assembly Speaker Woo Won Shik declaring that lawmakers “will protect democracy with the people.” The resolution was passed with 190 of 300 members of the ruling and opposition parties in attendance, with all present in favor, the BBC reported.
South Korea: Troops beat civilians and choppers land on parliament as president stuns the world by declaring martial law | 3 Dec 2024 | South Korea’s President [dictator] Yoon Suk Yeol sensationally declared emergency martial law today, accusing his political opposition of subverting parliament and railing against “pro-North Korea, anti-state forces” in his country. The shocking late-night address triggered chaos on the streets in Seoul where hordes of angry citizens clashed with riot cops and security forces outside the National Assembly. In an announcement which has stunned the world, South Korea’s military proclaimed that under martial law, parliament and other political gatherings that could cause “social confusion” would be suspended and anyone found to violate the regulations could be arrested without a warrant. Shocking images showing dozens of riot cops and armed police officers pushing back enraged rioters outside the National Assembly shortly after Yoon’s address was broadcast to the nation… Under martial law, the martial law commander, appointed by the president on the recommendation of the defence minister among active-duty generals, has the power to take actions related to arrests of persons, search and seizure, speech and the press, and assembly. The commander has authority over all administrative and judicial matters. “All political activities, including those of the National Assembly, local councils, political parties, and political associations, as well as assemblies and demonstrations, are strictly prohibited,” commander Park An-su said in a statement, adding: “All media and publications shall be subject to the control of the Martial Law Command.”
America last: Biden announces ‘over $1 billion’ to support Africans displaced by natural disasters, food insecurity [while North Carolina residents are living in tents in the snow, having exhausted their measly 750. FEMA stipend] | 3 Dec 2024 | Joe Biden on Tuesday announced more than 1 billion in humanitarian assistance to Africa during a visit to Angola. Biden, the first U.S. president [sic] to visit the former Portuguese colony, met with his Angolan counterpart Joao Lourenco earlier in the day and was scheduled to visit the port of Lobito on Wednesday for an infrastructure summit. “I’m announcing over 1 billion of new humanitarian support for Africans displaced from homes by historic droughts,” Biden said. [The Biden regime, run by deep-state criminals, is giving away over a billion d-llars to Africa while hurricane victims in North Carolina live in tents in the winter. The regime is giving away the store, allowing Americans to wither on the vine. The State is run by parasites, thieves, and murderers. The fact that the State is our natural enemy has never been clearer. –Michael Rectenwald, Ph.D.]
Israel committing ‘war crimes’ – former defense minister | 2 Dec 2024 | Former Israeli Defense Minister Moshe Yaalon has accused Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu of plotting the “ethnic cleansing” of Gaza and claimed that Israel Defense Forces (IDF) troops are carrying out “war crimes” in the Palestinian enclave. Israel has launched an unprecedented wave of military destruction, citing a war on Hamas, in Gaza for over a year. The onslaught has killed almost 45,000 people, created famine conditions, and displaced nearly all of the residents of the densely populated territory. In recent weeks, Israel has focused much of its firepower on northern Gaza, having issued an evacuation order covering large swathes of the region last weekend. This evacuation order, Yaalon claimed on Sunday, is an attempt to hide the ongoing “ethnic cleansing” of Palestinians. “I am compelled to warn about what is happening there and is being concealed from us,” he told Israel’s Kan broadcaster. “At the end of the day, war crimes are being committed,” he added, citing information supposedly provided by IDF commanders in Gaza.
Schools Can Force-Vaccinate Children Against Parents’ Wishes, State Supreme Court Rules | 2 Dec 2024 | The Vermont Supreme Court has ruled that schools can force-vaccinate children for Covid against the wishes of their parents. The high court ruled on a case involving a six-year-old boy who was forced to take a Covid mRNA injection by his school. However, his family had explicitly stated that they didn’t want their child to receive the “vaccines.” The school was aware that the parents didn’t want their young son vaccinated but decided to give him the injection anyway. The family responded by suing the school and the district, with the case going to the state Supreme Court. But in a landmark ruling, the high court agreed with the school, green-lighting forced vaccinations of children across the state. Attorney John Klar warns that the precedent set by the case “threatens every child in America.”
FAA Bans Drone Flights Over Trump’s New Jersey Golf Course After Mysterious Drones Spotted Across the State | 2 Dec 2024 | The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has restricted all drone flights over the Trump National Golf Club in Bedminster, New Jersey. The FAA’s move comes after residents of northern New Jersey spotted mysterious drones in the night sky throughout November. The ban on flying drones over Trump National Golf Club was initiated on November 22 and will last until December 6. Any unauthorized drone flying over the Picatinny Arsenal Military Base in Rockaway is also included in the drone flying ban.
Ninth Circuit rules in favor of federal deportation | 3 Dec 2024 | The federal government has the authority to deport foreign nationals in the U.S. illegally over the objection of local authorities, a panel of three judges on the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals unanimously ruled. The 29-page ruling was written by Judge Daniel Bress, with judges Michael Hawkins and Richard Clinton concurring. At issue is an April 2019 executive order issued by King County Executive Dow Constantine, which directed county officials to prohibit fixed base operators on a county airfield near Seattle from servicing U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement charter flights used to deport illegal foreign nationals. Constantine’s order prohibited King County International Airport from supporting “the transportation and deportation of immigration detainees in the custody of Immigration and Customs Enforcement, either traveling within or arriving or departing the United States or its territories.” The airport is located next to a major ICE-Seattle base of operations. The Trump administration at the time sued, arguing Constantine’s order violated the Supremacy Clause’s intergovernmental immunity doctrine and a World War II-era Instrument of Transfer agreement allowing the federal government to use the airport in King County.
Chicago residents rip mayor over spending on migrants: ‘Worst mayor in America’ –Mayor Brandon Johnson is trying to close 1 billion budget shortfall, with 60M property tax hike floated | 3 Dec 2024 | Residents of Chicago are blasting Mayor Brandon Johnson over the city spending more than half a billion d-llars on sheltering migrants, with one telling the Democrat to his face during a City Council meeting that he’s the “worst mayor in America.” The criticism surrounding Johnson and Chicago’s New Arrivals Mission — which so far has cost the city 574.5 million since its inception in August 2022 — comes as the mayor is trying to overcome a 1 billion budget shortfall by the end of the year. The City Council held a meeting Monday during which residents voiced their opposition to an approximately 60 million property tax increase floated as one way to help close the gap. “I got a great way what we can do with this budget. First, let’s start with cutting off illegals getting free everything, free housing, free schooling, free food. Yeah, let’s start with that. That’ll save us a lot of m-ney,” one woman told Johnson. “Let’s start there. Then, let’s start with you. Your salary. You are going down in history as the worst mayor in America. Let’s start with cutting yours,” she continued.
Judge enforces subpoena against ActBlue, opening new front in Democratic fund-raising probe | 2 Dec 2024 | For the first time, a Wisconsin court has approved a subpoena to the massive Democrat fund-raising platform ActBlue, saying it owes an explanation to a Republican whose email identity was used to make liberal donations he did not authorize. “Something is not right,” Waukesha County Circuit Court Judge Brad D. Schimel declared as he approved a limited demand for documents and opened a new front into a widening fund-raising probe begun earlier this year by Congress and 19 attorneys general. Schimel rejected ActBlue’s arguments that it was onerous to require it to comply a subpoena for third-party donations it processed on its platform. The judge permitted GOP consultant Mark Block and his lawyers from America First Policy Institute to conduct discovery to determine if fraud was involved in the use of his identity to make dozens of Democrat donations on his old email address. ActBlue’s lawyers unsuccessfully tried to quash the subpoena, arguing that a man using the identity Bernard Cain used Block’s email address from California and Colorado and that it is not responsible for his actions.
Six times Karine Jean-Pierre said Joe Biden wouldn’t pardon his son Hunter | 1 Dec 2024 | White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre came away with egg on her face after repeatedly insisting President [sic] Biden had no plans to pardon his son during her tenure in the administration. On Sunday night, Biden officially pardoned his son Hunter over his recent felony convictions on tax and gun charges. This statement came after Jean-Pierre had denied Biden was considering a pardon multiple times, even as Hunter was being prosecuted. In July 2023, Fox News’ Mark Meredith asked Jean-Pierre if there was any possibility Biden would end up pardoning his son as Hunter was facing two counts of willful failure to pay federal income tax. “No,” Jean-Pierre simply said. She also interrupted an attempted following up question saying, “I just said no,” before moving on to another reporter…
