Episode 159 with Vaush
Kyle & Vaush get into it on KK&F this week on the upcoming presidential election, debates in left media, and Israel-Palestine. Listen to this episode to hear their thoughts on everything from podcaster solidarity to extremely troubling co-optations of anti-Israel sentiment online. Video below:
The ICJ has made its decision as of today, with the major absence in its ruling being a call for ceasefire. Clearly, the court recognizes the mass threat to life that Israel has imposed on Gaza with its violent military campaign; it has decreed that Israel should prevent any genocidal actions, but does not directly demand an end to Israeli violence in Gaza. It’s yet another piece of damning proof of the cowardice governing the international community’s approach to the genocide in Palestine. While the ICJ feels comfortable demanding the minimizing of Palestinian suffering — and therefore acknowledging the existence of that suffering — it will not stand up to Israel or its powerful allies by demanding a ceasefire.
We discuss recent updates on Israel-Palestine along with Vaush’s insights into the forthcoming election and the terrain of independent left media. We hope you’ll enjoy this wide-ranging conversation. You can listen to this episode as a podcast when it’s released tomorrow on Spotify, Pandora, Apple Podcasts, and more. See you next week!
