‘Is Fox News Really Doomed?’

— Justin Miller, deputy editor, Intelligencer

More than 1,000 people have been arrested for the attack on the Capitol, but accountability for those who inspired the January 6 insurrection has been lacking. Maybe that is part of the reason why there seems to be so much riding on the lawsuit against Fox News for parroting the lies by Donald Trump that whipped up the mob. Dominion Voting Systems says it was defamed by the network when it allowed Rudy Giuliani and Sidney Powell to say the company’s software was flipping votes to Biden without any pushback. And Dominion has receipts — texts and emails from Rupert Murdoch to Tucker Carlson showing they knew it was b.s. Today, Intelligencer contributor Ankush Khardori takes a close look at those messages and the case and finds, despite considerable hype that we should factor in, it looks very bad for Fox News.
