Libertarians and Socialists: Heads Up Their Asses on Wealth Inequality?

Both Libertarians and Socialists tend to have their heads up their asses when it comes to questions of wealth inequality.

All serious thinkers since antiquity have recognized that too great an imbalance in wealth distribution causes serious problems. This is not Marxism. This is Aristotle.

Libertarians will first deny that wealth inequality is a problem, and then when confronted with the facts, either deny the facts or grudgingly blame the state after the fact.

Socialists will enthusiastically recognize the problem of wealth inequality, and then posit the cause of the problem, the state, as somehow being the antidote.

Many “libertarians” are not really libertarians at all but right-wing plutocratic apologists. Many socialists are not really egalitarians at all but mere state-worshipers.

The development of an authentic anarchist economic movement will no doubt include plenty of people drawing from both the libertarian and socialist camps, but obviously, a lot more education about the subject of political economy is needed.
