In times like these, I try to remember the quote from Frederick Douglass who said a true patriot praises his country for its accomplishments and admonishes it for its sins. Meanwhile, the Supreme Court is taking a page out of the Catholic Church’s book (or perhaps Machiavelli’s The Prince).
