Actor, comedian and podcaster Russell Brand has lately come under fire from the establishment press in his native England, labeled a “conspiracy theorist” who spreads misinformation and makes wild accusations without providing supporting evidence. Now Brand has used his platform to strike back, posting a video refuting the allegations against him and pointing out that two of his prominent critics in the press write for a paper called “The Independent,” 50 percent of which is owned by the Saudi Arabian government.
