More hilarious than heinous. Are we really supposed to be outraged that a bunch of yahoos managed to bust through a police line and do some petty vandalism, with one of them being shot by a frightened cop who had probably never dealt with a riot before, only […]
From today. In a Twitter video, President Donald Trump conceded to President-elect Joe Biden and condemned the violent supporters who stormed the Capitol Wednesday.
By Timothy Bella and Lateshia Beachum, Washington Post An impassioned speech from Rep. Conor Lamb (D-Pa.) nearly sparked an early morning fistfight between two other House lawmakers during the debate over Pennsylvania’s electoral votes. Lamb said the GOP objectors to Joe Biden’s presidential election win didn’t need to […]

Greenwald is becoming a hated man in certain sectors of the Left. One of the greatest things about recent events has been the ongoing fragmentation of the Red and Blue tribes as well as the wider Red/Blue divide. Journalist, Glenn Greenwald, reacts to both Twitter and Facebook suspending […]
Media outlets are the churches, synagogues, mosques, and temples of the Red/Blue tribal-sectarian civil war. In traditional societies, it is the religious institutions that are normally the arbiters of social and moral norms. However, in modern societies that role has largely been assumed by education, science, medicine, technology, […]
I kind of hope it happens. That would be even funnier. The dominant consensus among power elite opinion will ultimately prevail. It’s no different than invoking the by-laws of a corporation that allow for the removal of an incompetent CEO or Chairman of the Board. Team Rising discusses […]
The true head of the Trump administration speaks? Now all we need is a statement from Mohammed bin Salman.
Pence abandons the ship as it sinks. His function in the Trump administration was to triangulate the relationship between Trump, the neocons, and the Christian Zionists while facilitating the relationship between the two. The neocons are now pulling back one of their front men among the Trumpists. White […]
Are you fucking kidding me? Most shameful day? It barely scratches the surface. Read up on the history of massacres in the US. By Jeffrey Goldberg, The Atlantic Insurrection Day, 12:40 p.m.: A group of about 80 lumpen Trumpists were gathered outside the Commerce Department, near the White House. The Little League Falange wannabes make their move. I generally favor anti-system violence regardless of where it comes from or what foolish cause it’s attached to. Ideally, the fragmentation of the Democraps would proceed at the same pace as the fragmentation of the Repugnicans. Good work, Jimmy Dore.
The best thing about the “Stop the Steal” scam is the exacerbated division between Trumpists and neocons it has caused, the pig vs right-winger street clashes that have resulted, and the mockery of the state that is taking place. Keep up the good work, Donald and friends. Krystal […]
Excellent. I generally have a favorable view of all who fight pigs in the street, irrespective of who they are or how idiotic their cause is. By Sinead Baker, Business Insider Supporters of President Trump clashed with police and at least six were arrested on Tuesday night. The […]
Hahahaha. Good one.
The historical overview of US “progressivism” Kim outlines in this is fairly accurate. It’s true there used to be plenty of Republican progressives. They were around when I was a kid. Although as an anarchist, I obviously have zero regard for Teddy Roosevelt.
This “Force the Vote” dustup among progressoids arguing about how to go about begging the ruling class for more crumbs has been a hilarious site to behold.

Some fairly interesting commentary on modern American cultural history in this. One thing I often find interesting is the way in which the rhetoric of the socially conservative “right” and the progressive liberal “left” frequently mirror each other. Social conservatives tend to be nostalgic for the social mores […]
By Nicky Reid aka Comrade Hermit Finally, mercifully, it’s twenty-hundred and twenty-one, dearest motherfuckers. By Robert Weissberg, Intellectual Takeout Identity politics is now the term du jour and its meaning is clear enough on a superficial level—choosing people according to their physical characteristics and sexual preferences. Some pretty good class analysis in this, which describes a key aspect of US electoral politics as class conflict between the rising urban, suburban, professional-managerial upper-middle class, and the sinking rural, small-town, heartland working to middle class. Of course, like most left and/right class analysis, it ignores the […]

A perfect illustration of the neocon/neoliberal alliance.
