I am pleased to have Caleb Maupin back on the show. The last time I had a PoF interview was with again Caleb a couple of years ago on his book “BreadTube Serves Imperialism: Examining The New Brand of Internet Pseudo-Socialism”, a must-read by the way to understand […]
By Nicky Reid aka Comrade Hermit Exile in Happy Valley I have been writing this annual post celebrating a handful of people who have achieved the impossible and miraculously failed to suck over the last twelve months for almost a decade now and I have little intention of […]
By Cake Boy You know, people like Kevin Carson and Cake Boy always said that anarchism in the present time in the West could only develop slowly through the dual power strategy. The mutualist strategy, in which you set up your own institutions, and so ignore the state. […]
By Nicky Reid aka Comrade Hermit Exile in Happy Valley I haven’t exactly kept my fraught history with organized Christianity a secret. In fact, in keeping with my weird tradition of publishing my numerous neuroses, it’s kind of become a major part of my public persona, the jagged […]
By Nicky Reid aka Comrade Hermit Exile in Happy Valley I’ve been closely following the labyrinthine chaos in the Levant for most of my adult life now and I honestly didn’t see this latest twist coming, at least not this fast and certainly not this soon. After surviving […]
By Cake Boy I just read this little piece on Reddit in the anarchist discussion forum. I want to repeat it. https://www.reddit.com/r/DebateAnarchism/comments/hozr9p/individualist_anarchism_is_kinda_dead/ It’s about social and individualist anarchism. The two significant anarchist theories are very different. What does individualist anarchism want? 1 Usufruct/homesteading of the earth 2 Radical […]
By Nicky Reid aka Comrade Hermit Exile in Happy Valley I realize that I’ve said this before but there really is no more room left for interpretation. Israel is engaged in a concerted effort to annihilate the Palestinian people, an American financed and facilitated genocide playing out in […]
By Nicky Reid aka Comrade Hermit Exile in Happy Valley I have spent the better part of my life as a bomb-throwing, dyed in the wool, radical leftist and there was a time when I would have gladly laid down my own life for that cause, probably because […]
By Cake Boy Preston somewhere talked about the architecture of his thinking. I liked this idea and wrote this text to explain the architecture of Cake Boy’s political thought. The ontological framework of my thinking is European existentialist thought. Let’s put it this way: This tradition always inspired […]
By Cake Boy My perception of anarchism is Benjamin Tucker’s anarchism. Preston and I discussed pluralist anarchism here based on this core sentence. Anarchism is the idea that: All social relations should be voluntary. The Rothbardian/libertarian anarchists would agree with this statement, but their definition of voluntary is […]
By Nicky Reid aka Comrade Hermit Exile in Happy Valley Kamala lost for a lot of reasons. Having the vibrant personality of a power-hungry high school principal in a cheesy 80s movie and playing second banana to a poorly reanimated racist come to mind. Cackling like an animatronic […]

Based […]
Tune in on November 17th (to avoid Thanksgiving day) at 4 PM EDT!
By Nicky Reid aka Comrade Hermit Exile in Happy Valley There are few things more heartbreaking in this world than watching someone you love in an abusive relationship. Sadly, I’ve seen it firsthand, up close and personal, and it’s harder to sit through than a train crash. To […]

By Nicky Reid aka Comrade Hermit Exile in Happy Valley How could this happen? Again? On what planet, in what parallel universe does it make any logical sense for Donald J. Trump, the ghastliest beast to ever stalk the West Wing, to return to power in a veritable […]
By Cake Boy So, this was another attack on the pluralist project and Preston’s third-wave anarchism ideas. https://theanarchistlibrary.org/library/matthew-n-lyons-rising-above-the-herd I want to analyze parts of this text and respond to them. Witness the rise of so-called National-Anarchism (NA), an offshoot of British neonazism that has recently gained a small […]
By Nicky Reid aka Comrade Hermit Exile in Happy Valley In case you haven’t noticed dearest motherfuckers, I’m pretty goddamn weird and I seem to be getting weirder by the hour. This isn’t a flex; every time I think I’ve got my proverbial shit figured out I seem […]
By Cake Boy The left is rightwing phobic, Preston said to me. The left is more concerned with fighting the right than with fighting actual imperialism, he said. Yes, so the thing is. As you know, I’m in favor of free speech. So, Preston should say everything he […]
By Cake Boy Keith Preston recently issued a response to a short letter we wrote a while back asking him to stop calling himself an anarchist because of his racism, misogyny, and support for libertarian variants. Yes, so the thing is, Preston is an intelligent person. But I […]
By Cake Boy A lot of leftist anarchists these days use the following sentence to describe anarchism. They say that anarchism is against all unjust hierarchies. We have seen that the pluralist anarchism/federalism (whatever you want) I talk about is a little bit different. The leftist anarchists base […]
By Nicky Reid aka Comrade Hermit Exile in Happy Valley I write this screed during the waning hours of an election season that has made me thirst for the taste of a blue steel shotgun barrel like a newborn craves mother’s milk. I hate all of you people […]
By Cake Boy I don’t know why I write so much these days, but anyway. I hope you like my work. It’s meant to make anarchism serious again. I wonder if that is possible. I try to think with you. Not to ‘attack the system’ or anything (I’m […]
By Cake Boy As we have seen, anarchism can have two meanings: an ontological meaning and a constructive social meaning. There are two anarchisms: individualist anarchism, which Emile Armand followed/lived/wrote about, and constructive anarchism, which people like Bakunin and Rothbard worked on. The individualist tradition has always resonated […]
By Cake Boy A big reason why I can’t take authoritarian systems such as communism and fascism seriously has to do with art. I’m a big fan of absurd comedians like Tim and Eric, Eric Andrew, and Sam Hyde. The clowns of this time These artists can only […]
By Nicky Reid aka Comrade Hermit Exile in Happy Valley To say that my childhood was less than idyllic would probably be an understatement. Growing up stuck between genders in a dreary small-town Catholic school would have been harsh enough if the priests would only keep their fucking […]
By Cake Boy Cake Boy doesn’t per se propagate for pluralist anarchism. I just see it as the only reasonable anarchist system. If you’re an anarchist, then be a pluralist. As I already said, I’m a thinker, not an activist. My way to add to anarchism is to […]
By Cake Boy Yesterday, I read this Libcom article about the national anarchist movement. I take parts from it and respond to it. https://libcom.org/article/rebranding-fascism-national-anarchists-spencer-sunshine National-Anarchists appropriate leftist ideas and symbols, and use them to obscure their core fascist values. Anarchism is the idea that all social relationships should […]
By Cake Boy The (leftwing) anarchist party I was a member of is a cult. I didn’t know much about cults back then, so after I got out of it, I dug into it to understand. It seems that I was mentally too strong to get sucked into […]

By Cake Boy If anarchism as a mass movement wants to have meaning, it has to be clear in what its goals are. It has to formulate an understandable vision. People have to be able to imagine it right away. People have to be able to see themselves […]
By Nicky Reid aka Comrade Hermit Exile in Happy Valley Victory comes quick to cowards with superior firepower, but that victory is almost always short lived. You would think that Israel, or any other proxy student of western colonialism, would have learned this lesson by now but here […]
By Cake Boy We have studied anarchism for a couple of weeks. I tried to formulate a new anarchism. An anarchism past the dimensions of woke leftism and neoliberal capitalist hegemony. This, then, would be a pluralist anarchism. We have seen that there would be positive sides to […]
By Cake Boy A critique of Preston was that he would be an anti-statist authoritarian. Some Antifa intellectual said this. To the Antifa/woke anarchists, anarchism is not just voluntary interaction but a program of social change. It’s a cultural Marxist project to them. There is a problem with […]
Nicky Reid aka Comrade Hermit Exile in Happy Valley I despised Donald Trump long before he became a lumpy soapbox for self-congratulating neoliberals to virtue signal on. In fact, I hated that miserable cunt back when he was still financing the campaigns of said self-congratulating neoliberals. Long before […]

By Keith Preston, October 2, 2024 Just War Theory, developed primarily by early Christian theologians such as Augustine of Hippo (4th-5th centuries) and later refined by Thomas Aquinas (13th century), outlines ethical guidelines for the use of force. It is based on two main principles: jus ad bellum […]

By Cake Boy So, let’s dig a little bit deeper into this idea of pluralist anarchism. Isn’t it farfetched, isn’t it utopian? Anarchists say because centralized power is dangerous, decentralization is the way to go to reduce damage. There will be damage anyway, because humans are imperfect, but […]
By Cake Boy So this is a song that came out last year. It’s black metal, made by anarchist activists from the UK. It’s very new and what the anarchist scene communicates with the rest of the world. This is who we are, this what we are about. […]
By Cake Boy Anarchism is stuck. On the one hand, it’s stuck in a swamp of woke sectarianism, and on the other, it’s stuck in the swamp of neoliberal/libertarian/Javier Milei populism. There needs to be a new anarchist impulse, and anarchism needs to be dragged out of the […]
By Nick Reid aka Comrade Hermit Exile in Happy Valley America is an imperial slaughterhouse and every four years that bloody kill room floor hosts a jingle-brained three-ring-circus that the men with hammers call a presidential election season. A ghastly, multibillion dollar display of buggery, cuckery, pomp and […]
By Cake Boy A question in the current anarchist milieu is whether anarcho-capitalism and anarcho-communism are compatible. Is bottom unity ( libertarian unity) possible? The main topic here is land. Both schools, anarcho-communism and anarcho-capitalism, have different perceptions of what land is and what it should be. To […]
By Nicky Reid aka Comrade Hermit Exile in Happy Valley If you were foolish enough to take sociopaths at their word, you could be forgiven for believing that Kamala Harris and Donald Trump are the world’s most violent pacifists. Both of these repugnant candidates for Godfather of Babylon […]
By Cake Boy I discovered anarchism when I was twenty. I started to read the works of the major names in anarchism. I became interested in anarchism because I disliked both communism and fascism. And I had/have problems with the current neoliberal order. Anarchism said it was about […]
