| Hello Repro Nation readers!
It’s a big month for abortion, and not just because the US Supreme Court is due to issue one more ruling in the next week (or weeks?) that could impact access nationwide. Like many people across the nation this week, we are grieving the loss of the national right to abortion that was overturned in June 2022 by the same court that will soon decide whether emergency room doctors in abortion-ban states can perform abortions that stabilize their patients without fear of legal action or criminal prosecution.
Not long after the Dobbs decision came down, we urged you (in this here newsletter) to not give up hope. In the two years since, we have witnessed real-life horror stories and the extraordinary power of everyday people to protect abortion access under Dobbs, one patient, municipality, or state at a time. We can expect more of the same in the next two years. Abortion remains as popular as ever, and it’s up to all of us to continue showing up for one another, in whatever capacity we can, to ensure that everyone has the resources and support they need to make reproductive decisions without government interference. Thank you for continuing to support Repro Nation as we highlight the abortion news and information that keep us informed and connected to the community fighting for reproductive freedom.
In solidarity,
Regina Mahone
