The only issue I have with student loan debt forgiveness is that we need a plan to prevent this from becoming an issue again in the future. Politicians are interested in the benefits for them about forgiving student debt, but they also need to do a ton of work to make sure we aren’t having this discussion again in 10 years. They don’t want to do that work so they won’t do anything about it.
