“My name is Farah, I am 20 years old, and I am from Gaza. I live in a very difficult situation.
I am newly married. Before the war, I was engaged to my husband, but our wedding was postponed because our families became displaced, and we lost everything. We finally married, without celebration, after a year of genocide. Before we were displaced, I was studying psychology in my second year at university. But I lost my university, my dream, and my studies.
I am also sick, and require ongoing treatment for my condition, but I am not able to afford it.
Our family lives without proper shelter or food, because we cannot afford them. I was supposed to be married by now. Before the war, I got engaged, but my fiance and I can’t get married because we lost our home and our entire lives. Now, both of our families sleep on the street without tents, because we can’t afford them.
Our life has become nothing since the beginning of this genocide. We have been displaced over 8 times. We live in danger, hunger, siege, death, and thirst. I really hope you all can help me and my family, even if it is a little. Please.”
