| On Tuesday, the Colorado State Supreme Court ruled that Trump is ineligible to be on the ballot for the upcoming GOP primary. But “It would be wrong for anybody to get their hopes up,” warns Elie Mystal. “The Supreme Court will almost certainly intervene. And… rule that Trump is allowed on the Colorado ballot.”
But if SCOTUS does overrule Colorado, not only will it look partisan, it will be going against the text of the 14th Amendment as well as stepping on Colorado’s right to interpret its own state laws. Yikes! |
