Members of The “Squad” in Congress may provide reliable support for traditional progressive objectives when it comes to domestic issues, but what about in matters of war and peace? Well, when it comes to economic sanctions in response to Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, Congressional progressives – with a couple notable exceptions – fell in line with their Democratic colleagues to vote in favor of draconian restrictions that will likely cause great suffering among the Russian people.
