Israel’s aid blockade has left 2.3 million Gazans running out of food and water, many facing starvation, while Israel continues to drop bombs on civilian shelters.1
“Children are now literally dying of starvation while being held by their mother or their father,” Senator Peter Welch said. Tens of thousands of babies and children will die if there are no changes to the Israeli and American policy in Gaza.2
Rep. Pramila Jayapal is introducing a resolution calling to stop this humanitarian disaster. America must use its power to end the blockade and ensure Palestinians receive the food, water, and medical supplies they desperately need.

After weeks of blockading aid from reaching Palestinians, Israel’s new supposed plan to deliver aid to Gaza eliminates aid organizations in favor of American contractors.
Israel and the U.S. are upending years of established aid delivery to support a plan pushed by the very government blocking aid to Palestinians.3 This is in no way a reliable proposal to end the humanitarian catastrophe in Gaza.
Blocking humanitarian aid to starve civilians is a war crime.4 And Israel has been perpetrating this blockade for long periods of its monthslong onslaught against Palestinians.
Netanyahu and Trump have made it clear that the complete and total destruction of Gaza and the ethnic cleansing of Palestinians are in their sights. Breaking the aid blockade is a critical step to save lives in Gaza. And Congress is running out of time.
