It’s happened again.
On Saturday, Israel bombed a World Central Kitchen vehicle delivering aid to starving Palestinians in Gaza, killing three aid workers as well as two bystanders who had rushed to the scene to help.1
This comes after Israel killed 7 World Central Kitchen aid workers in an April bombing. The killings have once again forced the organization to pause lifesaving food deliveries to Gaza, where famine has become widespread amid the 14-month Israeli siege.2
It’s time for the U.S. to stop supporting Benjamin Netanyahu’s ongoing slaughter in Gaza and demand an immediate ceasefire.

The U.N. reports that 345,000 people in Gaza are facing catastrophic levels of food insecurity.3 The World Food Programme reports that only 20% of the basic food assistance is reaching the 1.1 million people who depend on the U.N. agency for survival.4
On October 13, the Biden administration gave the Israeli government 30 days to “surge all forms of humanitarian assistance throughout Gaza,” or else further U.S. weapons shipments could be blocked.5 Israel responded by throttling humanitarian aid to the lowest level in months, but the White House has not taken any action to hold Israel accountable.6
The good news is that opposition to Netanyahu’s war on Gaza is growing. Last week, 19 U.S. Senators voted to halt a series of arms sales to Israel as part of an effort led by Bernie Sanders to stop the killing in Gaza.7
Now, after yet another World Central Kitchen bombing, there’s even more pressure on the Biden administration to stop sending arms to Israel.
In the words of Bernie Sanders, Israel must “stop murdering innocent people.”8 And the U.S. should not provide one more nickel of military aid for Netanyahu’s war on the people of Gaza.
With gratitude,
The team at Demand Progress Action
