The #Laundry: how RENS Kontant fed State Capture money-washing entities

By Dewald van Rensburg for amaBhungane

Previously we delved into RENS Kontant in Transito — one of the cash-in-transit companies seemingly acting as a conduit for moving funds for a broad and exotic clientele. Looking deeper, we managed to find what may have been a previously unknown route for the dissipation of State Capture loot.
For over 30 years, we’ve been committed to delivering long-term returns for our clients. We didn’t just grow their money; we built real wealth and earned their trust along the way.

WHILE YOU WERE SLEEPING

🇺🇦🇷🇺 President Joe Biden announced that his administration would allow the use of US-supplied weapons to strike Russian targets inside Russia. The move is a major change in US policy towards the Russian invasion, one that Kyiv has been desperately asking for.
🇬🇧🇸🇩 Britain will be looking to secure a resolution from the UN Security Council to demand Sudan’s fighting parties cease the violence and allow aid back into the country. British Foreign Minister David Lammy will say that the UK would “never let Sudan be forgotten”.
🇬🇦🆓 Gabon has voted in a new constitution with overwhelming support. The new reform paves the way for the end of a post-coup military junta and something resembling democratic rule. Here’s hoping this one actually sticks.
🇧🇷🤬 Brazil’s first lady has called out Elon Musk on the eve of a high-stakes G20 summit. Rosangela da Silva quipped “F*** you, Elon Musk” on X while talking at an event in Rio de Janeiro, discussing the importance of regulating social media and fighting fake news.
