Brazil bans X: Outrage spreads after Elon Musk’s social media platform is suspended | 1 Sept 2024 | Politicians and many other X users took to the social media platform on Saturday to sound off on their disapproval of the site being banned in Brazil after a court-imposed deadline expired for the company to identify a legal representative in Brazil. “X is the most used news source in Brazil. It is what the people want. Now, the tyrant de Voldemort is crushing the people’s right to free speech,” Elon Musk, owner of X, wrote following the decision. The move is the latest chapter in an ongoing feud between a Brazilian Supreme Court justice [Alexandre de Moraes] and Musk, which also included the freezing of the satellite internet provider Starlink’s financial accounts in Brazil, which is 40% owned by Musk… Musk took a jab at the United States, hinting that this type of censorship could happen if Kamala Harris and Tim Walz are elected. “The attacks this year on free speech are unprecedented in the 21st century. It will happen in America too if Kamala/Walz gain power. Just listen to what they’ve said,” Musk wrote.
Ukraine blackmailing nuclear plant staff – Moscow | 31 Aug 2024 | Ukraine is exerting pressure on staff at the Zaporozhye Nuclear Power Plant in Russia, with threats to kill their family members if they refuse to cooperate with Kiev, senior Russian diplomat Rodion Miroshnik has claimed. “A lot of families have been separated” during the conflict between Russia and Ukraine, and Kiev is trying to take advantage of this, Miroshnik, who is tasked by the Moscow’s Foreign Ministry with collecting evidence of Ukraine’s war crimes, told RIA Novosti on Saturday. Kiev’s security agencies are deliberately looking for relatives of staff members at the power plant who remain on Ukrainian territory, Miroshnik said. They then use threats against family members “to put pressure [on the nuclear plant employees] or provoke them to commit a terrorist act or to pass on information in the interests of Ukraine,” he claimed.
Lavrov draws parallels between Israel and Ukraine | 31 Aug 2024 | Ukraine and Israel are trying to spark major regional wars which they believe will solve their own problems at the expense of others, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov has said. The country’s senior diplomat made the remarks in an exclusive interview with RT, aired on Saturday. Asked about the prospects of the ongoing crisis in the Middle East devolving into a major regional war, Lavrov suggested Israel was effectively the only party seeking such conflict. “It seems that the only one who wants such a development is Israel. Probably the Israeli government, which is rather hard politics-wise, and they do not even hide that,” Lavrov stated. “Probably, they want to take advantage of this situation to once and for all try to solve all their problems with Hamas and with Hezbollah, and with pro-Iranian groups in Syria and Iraq,” the minister suggested, adding that Tehran seems to be avoiding such a conflict and “does not want to get involved in any large-scale military actions.” Israel’s behavior shares striking similarities to Ukraine’s, with Kiev apparently seeking to drag its Western backers into a direct conflict with Moscow, Lavrov pointed out.
Massive Israeli labor strike planned in response to hostage deaths | 1 Sept 2024 | Israel’s largest labor union on Sunday called for a one-day strike after the country recovered the bodies of six Oct. 7 hostages taken during Hamas’s terror attack. The Israel Defense Force said Hamas “cruelly murdered” the hostages before they could be saved. The Histadrut Labor Federation, which represents thousands of workers, wants its members to strike on Monday, the New York Post reported. “We are getting body bags instead of a deal,” said Histadrut Labor Federation leader Arnon Bar-David. “We must reach a deal. A deal is more important than anything else,” Bar-David added. The labor leader accused Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu of politicizing the ceasefire negotiations, which have stalled over a dispute about whether Israel will vacate the Philadelphi Corridor along the Gaza-Egypt border.
Family of U.S.-Israeli hostages still in Gaza demand Netanyahu push for cease-fire deal after captives found dead | 1 Sept 2024 | The families of American-Israeli hostages in Gaza demanded Sunday that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu push harder for a cease-fire deal with Hamas after the deaths of six more captives. Dual U.S.-Israeli citizen Hersh Goldberg-Polin was among the hostages found dead in Rafah on Saturday, and Hamas is believed to still be holding four living Americans and three who have perished. “The tragic murder of Hersh, just months after we all saw his face in a hostage video released by Hamas, is nothing short of vicious and senseless,” the families said in a joint statement. Cease-fire negotiations have stalled for months as Netanyahu has vowed to not stop until Hamas is destroyed while the terror group has rejected nearly every proposal unless Israel pulls out of Gaza altogether and ends the attacks.
There’s no food or water in Gaza, but Big Pharma will not be denied: Polio vaccination operation begins in central Gaza Strip –Netanyahu’s office says no ceasefire will occur | 1 Sept 2024 | The Prime Minister’s Office said on Saturday night that reports of a ceasefire in Gaza to distribute and administer polio vaccines to residents were false after COGAT (Coordinator of Government Activities in the Territories) announced that a vaccination campaign would start on Sunday. The PMO added that Israel will enable a humanitarian corridor to allow the entry of aid workers and designate certain areas in which the vaccines will be safely administered. Netanyahu’s office stressed that Israel is committed to preventing an outbreak of the disease in the Gaza Strip, as well as in the entire region. COGAT said on Saturday that, following meetings with the UN and other aid organizations, the campaign to vaccinate Gaza residents against [sic] polio will begin on Sunday.
Police: Man injured 2 Jewish Pitt students with glass bottle near Cathedral of Learning | 31 Aug 2024 | A man attacked two Jewish University of Pittsburgh students with a glass bottle as they walked through campus Friday evening near the Cathedral of Learning, according to authorities. The suspect, 52-year-old Jarrett Buba of Oakland [a district in Pittsburgh], had been sitting at a table across Forbes Avenue from where the students were walking when he ran across the street and attacked them about 6 p.m., police reported in a criminal complaint. Police said Mr. Buba was wearing a keffiyeh, a traditional checkered scarf that has come to represent Palestinian solidarity amid the Israel-Hamas war. One of the students had cuts on his face and the other was bleeding from cuts on his neck, according to police. Police said both students were wearing yarmulkes, the traditional cap worn by Jewish men.
‘Getting along with Russia is good’ – Trump –Engaging positively with such countries as Russia and North Korea is a “smart” thing to do, the former U.S. president says | 31 Aug 2024 | Engaging with Russia and North Korea, and “getting along” with them, would be a “good thing,” former U.S. President Donald Trump has argued. Speaking at an election rally in Pennsylvania on Friday, the Republican nominee touted his diplomatic efforts to fix Washington’s ties with Pyongyang, referring to his 2019 meeting with North Korean leader Kim Jong-un in the demilitarized zone separating the two Koreas.”I got along with Kim Jong-un of North Korea. Remember I walked over…the first person to ever walk over from this country,” Trump claimed. “We also looked at his nuclear capability. It’s very substantial,” he added. “You know, getting along is a good thing. It’s not a bad thing.” “Getting along” with Moscow is also not “a bad thing,” Trump said. He went on to harshly criticize the incumbent administration, claiming Joe Biden has a very low IQ “and maybe now it’s nonexistent,” as he has “completely lost his mind.” [If he had one to lose.]
Historic Shift: Right-Wing AfD Poised for Landmark Victory in German State Election, Exit Polls – Despite Constant Persecution by Globalist Elites | 1 Sept 2024 | As The Gateway Pundit reported on Saturday, in the run-up to Sunday’s state elections in the Eastern part of Germany, the mainstream globalist parties and the media were panicking over the country’s preference for the right-wing AfD party. This is despite the elites’ endless plotting and public attacks on the common-sense party in the state media. These media attacks have led to several assaults on AfD members in recent years by radical leftists… AfD’s surge in support comes despite the persecution it suffers from state-level domestic intelligence authorities. On Sunday, the AfD won decisive victories in the German state elections of Saxony and Thuringia.
Anti-Mass Migration Parties Make Big Gains in German State Elections | 1 Sept 2024 | Populist anti-mass migration parties made significant gains in state elections in Germany on Sunday, with the right-wing Alternative for Germany projected to have secured a resounding victory in Thuringia. Exit polls for the east German state of Thuringia have put the populist Alternative for Germany (AfD) out on top, with a projected 30.5 per cent of the vote, beating out the neo-liberal centrist Christian Democratic Union (CDU) party formerly led by Chancellor Angela Merkel at 24.5 per cent. Should the exit polls prove true, it would mark the first time that the AfD was the winner in a state election in Germany. Separately, in the state of Saxony, the AfD is in a tight race for the top with the CDU, with exit polls projecting the centrist party to have won 31.5 per cent of the vote, compared to 30 per cent for the AfD, broadcaster DW reports. [The outcome of these elections depends on whether or not Germany uses electronic “voting” machines or paper ballots.]
Germany started criminal investigation into social media user for mocking politician for being ‘fat’ –Section 185 of the German Criminal Code covers derogatory opinions, defamatory remarks, or expressions that show disrespect or contempt. According to German authorities, the penalty could be up to one year in prison or a fine. | 1 Sept 2024 | German officials attempted to start a criminal investigation into a Gab social media user who allegedly called a left-wing female politician “fat,” but the platform refused to comply with the German authorities’ invasive demands to uncover the person’s identity, the platform told Fox News Digital. The Federal Criminal Police Office (Bundeskriminalamt-BKA) contacted Gab about a user insulting the weight of politician Ricarda Lang, a prominent leader of an environmental party in Germany. It requested information that would identify who the individual was, under the suspicion they resided in Germany, so that they can continue their criminal investigation. Torba called Germany’s request “one of the more ridiculous foreign data requests that Gab received… [T]hey wanted us to dox a user for calling a female politician fat.” Gab’s official response was to inform the German government they should “get bent,” the CEO, Andrew Torba, told Fox News Digital. [Excellent, Andrew Torba! Also, every single person on social media should be calling attention to her girth all day long, 24/7.]
Whitewash: UK University Removes ‘Anglo-Saxon’ From Curriculum | 1 Sept 2024 | In a Black Lives Matter-inspired move, a British university has cancelled the term “Anglo-Saxon” from its curriculum. The University of Nottingham has removed “Algo-Saxon” from courses on history and literature to push back against “nationalist narratives.” According to The Telegraph, a masters-level course, Viking and Anglo-Saxon Studies, has been renamed as Viking and Early Medieval English Studies. Another module, a literature course originally named “A Tale of Seven Kingdoms: Anglo-Saxon and Viking-Age England from Bede to Alfred the Great” has been recast as “Early Mediaeval England from Bede to Alfred the Great.” Also, the university reportedly said that it will seek to “problematize the term ‘Viking'” as well.
Outrage as state launches home loan program of up to $150k based solely on race | 1 Sept 2024 | Washington state has sparked fury with its new home lo-n program that offers a whopping 150,000 in assistance – but only if you’re the right race. The Covenant Homeownership Program, launched on July 1, claims to be fighting racial discrimination by helping first-time home buyers snag a zero percent interest lo-n for down payments and closing costs. But there’s a catch — you’ve got to belong to specific minority groups to qualify. Applicants must be at or below the local median income as well as fit into select minority categories like Black, Hispanic, or Native American — omitting white people and other groups.
DHS restarts migrant flights from Cuba, Haiti, Nicaragua and Venezuela – weeks after halting program over ‘fraud’ concerns | 29 Aug 2024 | The Department of Homeland Security said Thursday it is resuming migrant flights into the US from Cuba, Haiti, Nicaragua and Venezuela — one month after putting the program on pause due to potentially massive “fraud.” Under the Harris-Biden administration, the program had brought up to 30,000 migrants from those four nations into the U.S. every month under two-year work permits, so long as they passed a vetting process. Nearly half a million migrants had already received advance travel authorizations and then made their own arrangements to enter America via the humanitarian parole process before it was paused in mid-July. Around that time, an internal DHS report found thousands of sponsors allegedly committing fraud by listing fake Social Security numbers, home addresses or phone numbers — some of which belonged to dead people.
Group of 20 migrants attempted to enter California school bus picking up students in ‘really scary’ scene – officials | 29 Aug 2024 | A group of about 20 migrants terrified young children by trying to get on their California school bus early Wednesday — a day after a smaller group walked down a highway trying to stop another bus, district officials said. The alarming incidents occurred in the Jamul-Dulzura Union School District close to the Mexico border — where school bus drivers are now being ordered to skip stops where migrants might be waiting. On Tuesday, at least three migrants walked in the middle of Highway 94 to try to stop a bus that was forced to go around them, Fox 5 reported. Then early Wednesday, about 20 tried to get on a bus at the same stop just off the highway as students got on for school — forcing parents to make sure their kids were safe.
Trump takes the lead in six swing states, new polls show | 1 Sept 2024 | The latest polling suggests that Kamala Harris has received little to no convention boost, showing Donald Trump ahead of the vice president in several crucial swing states. A Trafalgar Group survey of seven of the toughest contests — considered by experts to be Georgia, Arizona, Wisconsin, Pennsylvania, Michigan, North Carolina and Nevada — show Trump either in the lead or even with Harris. Trump leads Harris 47% to 45% in Pennsylvania and 47% to 46% in Wisconsin, two states that flipped to red in 2016 when Trump won before flipping back to Democrats in 2020 when he lost to Joe Biden.
Tim Walz’s brother warns Democratic VP hopeful ‘is not the type of character’ you want in the White House: ‘The stories I could tell’ | 1 Sept 2024 | Tim Walz’s older brother has warned that the Democratic vice presidential hopeful is ‘not the type of character’ you want in the White House. Jeff Walz, 67, took to Facebook last week to share his concerns about his younger brother running alongside Kamala Harris. “The stories I could tell,” he stated in one of the posts, a five-word warning that may send shudders down the spines of staff at Harris HQ. The married father-of-two was urged to throw his weight behind the Trump campaign by other Facebook users when he declared Friday evening: “I’m 100% opposed to all his ideology.” Jeff, who lives in Freeport, Florida, with his wife Laurie, followed up that post by replying to others who told him to “speak up…at this pivotal moment in history.” “The stories I could tell. Not the type of character you want making decisions about your future,” Jeff said.
