Having watched the public disregard and acceptance of all the wars and invasions from the 2000s (Afghanistan, Iraq, Libya, Syria, Yemen (via Saudi Arabia), etc…..) I can appreciate what social media has done to open up people’s awareness of global politics and our neo-colonialist policies. It’s better late than never. I’m sure this will cascade through the ranks of the military as well, and troop morale is already low. Not that many people want to die for Israel, Exxon, or Lockheed.
