Bernie Sanders leads the way to stop $20 billion arm sales to Israel

A new study finds that at least 114,000 people have been killed since the start of Israel’s war in Gaza, nearly triple the number reported in most U.S. news coverage.1

In Lebanon, Israel’s brutal bombing campaign and ground invasion has killed thousands more, while displacing more than one million.2

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is now openly preparing for an attack on Iran, with the vocal support of the United States, which could spark a devastating regional war.3

We must stop this madness before it spirals any further out of control. Senator Bernie Sanders is leading the way to demand a ceasefire by forcing a Senate vote to block $20 billion in arms sales to Israel.

Time and again, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has rejected ceasefire deals that could have ended the war in Gaza and returned Israeli hostages currently held by Hamas.4

The United States government has backed Netanyahu every step of the way, providing $17.9 billion in military aid, including weapons, ammunition, vehicles, bombs, and jet fuel, since the start of the war on Gaza one year ago.5

This funding should have been halted long ago, given the unimaginable human suffering in Gaza, the West Bank, and now Lebanon.

We’ve mobilized over 100,000 people to urge Congress and the Biden administration to use all available leverage to demand a ceasefire, and now we’re turning up the heat to support Sen. Bernie Sanders’s resolution to stop the $20 billion weapons sale to Israel.

Will you donate $10 to help support our work, including urging President Biden to use his leverage to demand an immediate, permanent ceasefire in Gaza?

With gratitude,

The team at Demand Progress Action
