Round-Table 113: Ivan Illich's Three Age of Tools

I will be joined by Keith Preston, Logos and Florian to discuss Illich’s Three Ages of Tools and how this schema helps us understand modern technology. These three ages are Organon, Distal and Systems. Age one the telos of the tool is user-dependent, in age two the telos is user independent and in age three the telos subsumes and incorporates the user.
