FEMA is creating America Firsters

By Tom Woods

Mollie Hemingway of The Federalist is right: “In a sane country, this would end the party in power.”

She’s referring to something you’ve probably heard by now.

Exhibit A:

“For Fiscal Year (FY) 2024, the U.S. Department of Homeland Security will provide $640.9 million of available funds to enable non-federal entities to off-set allowable costs incurred for services associated with noncitizen migrant arrivals in their communities.”

Exhibit B:

“We do not have the funds, FEMA does not have the funds, to make it through the season.”

Meanwhile, Americans see that foreign countries get what they ask for, without a moment’s hesitation.

It’s not a sophisticated argument, nor does it need to be. But for people paying attention, they at least learn this: the ruling class has an agenda of its own that has nothing to do with your well-being, and you are at best a nuisance to them.

That’s a decent start, in terms of opening people’s eyes, if you ask me.

Meanwhile, just yesterday Vivek Ramaswamy engaged in a public debate with John Bolton over the regime’s interventionist foreign policy — speaking of things that have zero to do with your well-being.

He began with this challenge:

Over the course of our conversation, a respectful challenge I would offer to Ambassador Bolton is to identify any one of the examples in which we have adopted an interventionist foreign policy in the last 20 years — Iraq, Afghanistan, Syria, Libya, Yemen, you could argue now Ukraine — what is a single example that we could point to where we’ve actually been successful in seeing that through?

And I think the absence of a good answer to that question is a damning indictment of the foreign policy interventionism of the last 20 years.

Vivek won the debate. “At the start, 19% of the audience agreed with my position,” he reports. “At the end, the number was 55%.”

America First is only step one in restoring sanity, but it’s a crucial step one, and given current events the public is more primed to understand its urgency than ever.

Heaven knows we have plenty in the U.S. that needs fixing, and yesterday I announced the release of my latest free eBook that deals with one of those issues, called Your Facebook Friends Are Wrong About Gender.

It covers, among other things:

  • The strong correlation between transgenderism and mental illness
  • What to tell your child who is gender confused (it’s not what you think)
  • How young men are getting high-dose estrogen after just a 15-minute Zoom call
  • The destroyed careers of people who speak out
  • “Social contagion” as a driver of the growth in “trans identity”
  • How to find therapists whose brains haven’t been colonized by trans ideology (you may not need this now, but someday you very well might)
  • The proper response to “how does this affect you personally?”
  • They say “gender-affirming” therapists don’t rush young people into “transitioning.” Here’s the truth
  • The truth about “gender dysphoria”

Costs you nothing, so go ahead and pick it up, and please share the link with anyone you think might appreciate having this information:
