Thank God we have Luka.
First things first, I am behind on the news and I realize that. I was busy doing that presser translation, which took awhile and had yet more bureaucratic paperwork in meatspace that needed doing. Secondly, I am 10 paid subs from my new/old goal. Some people have suggested that I paywall the comments, but keep the blog public for now. I think that’s a fair step escalatory step to take in my terror campaign against my casual readers.
So, from here on out, my posts will be pay-to-comment only until I receive my well-earned tribute.
Also, some of you are laboring under the illusion that I cherish and value the comments left by the unpaying rabble. This is actually literally the opposite of the truth. I tolerate your comments and I get nothing but spite in response to my kind-hearted largesse. The few people who actually say anything of any worth already support the blog. The rest of you are a bunch of loud-mouthed cranks that pollute this sanctum of sanity and who seem to think that I owe them??? for having to read their input day in and day out.
Look: out of the thousands of people who read my stuff, the people who comment comprise a tiny fraction of the total. They are completely unrepresentative of the masses who read my stuff. I don’t have to cater to unpaid, over-entitled commenters making demands of me and calling me a CIA agent or a money-grubber, or whatever, so I simply won’t going forward.
Either put up or clear out.
