This commentary is surprisingly sensible. Lawrence O’Donnell must be planning on retiring soon.

Lawrence O’Donnell says no one knows how to run the American evacuation from Afghanistan without the same chaos and dishonor we experienced in Vietnam.

  1. Spoken like a true partisan. Perhaps he ‘forgets’ that the last year of Democrat’s LBJ’s term, 1968, was the highest point of American troops in Vietnam, while 1969 was lower, and continued lower each year.
    I looked it up a few years ago, when another partisan (Democrat) defended the Democrats’ handling of Vietnam.

    I’m not saying I liked Nixon’s handling, either, but he directed the pullout in the right direction.
