The strategy of the dominant factions of the power elite for dealing with the present crises is overwhelmingly clear. They are trying to advance a faux “liberal populism” that they hope will attract not only the “vote blue no matter who” crowd, but enough of the “exhausted majority” (which tends to trend leftward on economic issues) in order to defeat and subsequently purge the Trumpists, who represent an insurgent faction within the ruling class comprised of foreign policy realists and economic nationalists.
A Biden administration will be a ruling class consolidation regime featuring Hillaryites, Samantha Poweresque “human rights imperialists,” neocons, warmed-over Bush Republicans, hawks, and the majority of the capitalist class, with the gushing support of the media, and FOX remaining as the pretend token opposition. The progressives will be co-opted with various forms of “woke” social policies that do not threaten ruling class interests (funding for Planned Parenthood, DOE initiatives compelling transgender bathrooms in schools, renaming facilities named after now offensive historical figures, gun control legislation, all kinds of “diversity” initiatives, Internet censorship, faux police reform while blocking genuine police reform, etc.).
Meanwhile, Barr’s initiatives against “extremists” will be continued and escalated, certainly against the far-right but also against the far-left in order to appear non-partisan and to eliminate genuine opposition to the System. New administrations normally continue and expand police state actions developed by previous administrations, irrespective of whether there is a change in parties. The Biden administration will consistent of de facto neoconservatism in foreign policy (under the guise of liberal internationalism), neoliberalism/neofeudalism in economics (under the guise of faux liberal populism) and totalitarian humanism in social police (under the guise of cultural progressivism).

WASHINGTON (AP) — Joe Biden stood in a Pennsylvania metal works shop, just miles from his boyhood home, and pledged to define his presidency by a sweeping economic agenda beyond anything Americans have seen since the Great Depression and the industrial mobilization for World War II.
