They got into it with some Nazis in Sacramento a few years ago, and even though the Antifa outnumbered their opponents 6 to1 they ended taking casualties 6 to 1 in terms of the number of people stabbed.

About 200 protesters came to Sugarman’s Corner, the local hotspot in downtown Klamath Falls, Oregon, last Sunday night to protest the killing of George Floyd.
Like in many of the protests that have recently sprung up in cities across the United States, the group was made up of white, black and Latino people, members of the Native American Klamath Tribes and people in the LGBTQ communities: a diverse coalition in a county of 68,000 where 9 out of every 10 residents are white, according to Census estimates. They held signs, many of which have become common during recent protests: “Black Lives Matter” and “Injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere.”
Though it was a small gathering, they had company.
Antifa is cosplay. In the real world an ol’boy can gut 15 vegans a minute.
The idea that someone is funding and organizing buses full of foaming-at-the-mouth Antifa to invade small towns is so fucking laughable. I’ve had my issues with antifa in the past, but I’d rather have feral anarcho-communists running the streets of downtown in my city than Proud Boys/alt-right. Now if only everyone could refocus on burning police precincts lol!
The idea of “downtown” presupposes antifa. They can’t have their furry parties is rural areas, because Mom and dad’s support system doesn’t exist there. They would be too nervous to talk to anyone.
All of the fringe political groups in the US combined are not large enough to pull off something like this. This is a genuine popular rebellion.
Antifa does seem to be well-funded and organized effectively in certain places. This obviously takes considerable resources and an infrastructure of social and legal support provided nationwide by the broad ‘progressive and left movements. There seems no shortage of bail money to get their supporters out of jail when arrested or legal counsel often working pro bono on their behalf when facing serious charges for destruction of property, assault, battery, etc. These are immense advantages their opposition don’t usually or never enjoy.
A lot of their more “educated” members work for NGOs, universities, and low-level government bureaucracies. They likely divert funds from those sources (otherwise known as embezzlement).
