  1. The video was more annoying than anything, I certainly would not consider Schmidt to even be funny much less hilarious. A quick glance through the info and the titles of the other videos that you have to sign up to see (why anyone would is beyond my comprehension) reveal a typical conservative of the hysterical brain dead Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity, Bill O’Reilly variety. You’d think by the rantings of these types that their ultimate boogeyman “the left” is responsible for perceived evil in the world.

As for men, I think that they are indefensible for the most part. Even taking the claim that men are responsible for almost all of the civilization at face value, it should be pointed out that it was a very tiny percentage that contributed to the advancement of civilization. I think a good case can be made that it is in fact men who have more to lose and women more to gain by the expansion of knowledge and technology. A case in point are the rural areas of Afghanistan with their patriarchal culture that is maintained by fundamentalist religion and an society that is closed off from anything challenging it. Likewise, those breakaway Mormon polygamous sects are similar in that the men use their control over the minds of the women and children in order to keep them subservient.

Now I think it is only fair to mention that women bare the blame as well for male nature because of the people they select to mate with. The violent alpha male types have historically been the ones that women have been attracted and have therefore spread much more of their genes than other more civilized types. I suppose that the men hating feminists are perhaps the only women that are not complicit in this. Speaking of man hating feminists, I read Valerie Solanas’s “Scum Manifesto” hoping for a cheap laugh at radical feminist nonsense, but I’d say I agreed with about more than half of it and the thought the characterization of males was almost completely accurate.

I think that at the very least, there should be less male children brought into the world, maybe they should be five percent of the population instead of half.

I don’t care much for the pro-neoconnish flavor of that site either. I’ve always thought, and continue to think, that so-called “movement conservatism” is an ideology (if it can be called that) for retards. When I was younger, the very sound of the words “right wing” would make me nauseous, mostly because I ignorantly identified all right-wing thinking with the Reaganauts and the religious right. I was almost 30 yrs old before I realized there was more to it than that.

Well, it’s really more bourgeois liberal feminists that I hate as opposed to the Solanas types. I actually support tendencies like lesbian separatism.

  3. I just found this quote on a friend’s FB page:

“Feminism is dated? Yes, for privileged women like my daughter and all of us here today, but not for most of our sisters in the rest of the world who are still forced into premature marriage, prostitution, forced labor – who have children that they don’t want or they cannot feed.”

    ~ Isabel Allende

    My reply:

“I’m generally very critical of what feminism has become in the West, but this is the kind of feminism I could get behind, the original Emma Goldman/Voltairine de Cleyre brand of feminism.”
